Andrew Cari is one of the founders of what has grown into an annual LGBT celebration in Voinovich Park on the lake front in Cleveland, Ohio.  He has a background in gay broadcast and print media and  worked with various Cleveland LGTB organizations through the 1980's and into the 1990's.  He lives in Cleveland Heights, Ohio with his partner of eighteen years, Alan Trethewey, who he married in New York in June 2012.

Several years ago he came to the realization that what he always wanted to do was not work, and began to devote more time to photography. He is the author of several photography books, a memoir of the first Cleveland LGBT Pride celebration, a family history, is working on a personal memoir that, at least, he finds entertaining.
